Let's increase participation of the youth at the elections
on October 1, 2006


Association of Election Officials in BiH (AEOBIH), is organizing public awarding on August 29, 2006 referring to the competition entitled ”Let's increase participation of the youth at the elections on October 1, 2006”

This competition, published in Dnevni Avaz, Dnevni list and Nezavisne novine was opened in May and June 2006 for all interested young people in BiH and it had the following aims:
- to stimulate young people to go out and vote
- to offer support to ideas of young people
- to promote creativity of young people and to create an ambient for larger influence on happenings in the society.

The first awarded art work with slogan has been turned into poster, which will be distributed in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, and Mostar in 1000 copies. United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has financially supported the project “Youth for Youth”, within which competition has been published. The project is implemented by the International Republican Institute (IRI).

On that occasion, press conference will be organized in the AEOBiH Secretariat at 12:00, where besides representatives of the Association winners of the competition and IRI representatives will be present.
