Workshop 2 - Election Law Education


It has been concluded that education on the Election Law should be organized for the following target groups: the Municipal Election Commissions, the Municipal Councils, the Municipal Assemblies, mayors, mayoral assistants, management bodies, the courts, the police, registry offices, the media, political parties, the voter registration centers, the Polling Station Committees, observers, registrants, professors, non-governmental organizations, secretaries of local communities and local community bodies.

However, out of this large group, there are 8 priority target groupings: the Municipal Election Commissions, the Municipal Councils, mayors, mayoral assistants, the courts, the police, the media and political parties.

It has been concluded that for the training of Municipal Election Commissions, those holding training activities should be trainers of the Association. Concerning the training of Municipal Councils, mayors, their assistants, courts and political parties, it has been concluded that the Municipal Election Commissions should carry out the courses.

It has been agreed that the training should be performed in the period of January-March 2002.
