Distinguished ladies and gentlemen,
It is a great honor to welcome you to the Third Annual Conference
of Election Officials in Bosnia-Herzegovina on the behalf of the
Council of Ministers.
This Conference is taking place at a very decisive moment for Bosnia-Herzegovina
and we are convinced that it will send a strong signal to the Council
of Europe, at whose doorstep Bosnia-Herzegovina is.
I would like to express hope that through this Conference, in the
context of overall democratic changes that are taking place in our
country, that we will speed up the painful process of transition
we all are going through.
Following the adoption of the Election Law, these will be the first
elections that Bosnia-Herzegovina will carry out independently.
I hope that this Conference will contribute to the successful realization
of an overall election process, and by doing so open the door for
Bosnia-Herzegovina to a democratic and united Europe.
On the behalf of the Council of Ministers, I would like to welcome
you once again, I wish you successful work, and I truly believe
that you will efficiently shape the future electoral administration
of Bosnia-Herzegovina and that you will offer optimal solutions
regarding the conduct of the electoral process. Thank you.
