Association of Election Officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AEOBiH) will publish two issues of newsletter „Elections“ during the period from June to September 2006. This newsletter will be printed in 80.000 copies, which will have educative, informative and provocative content. Newsletter „Elections“ will contain actual information on upcoming elections and importance of participation, political parties' platforms and biographies of all candidates for state level, as well as information about NGO activities on promoting participation in the elections. The goal of publishing of this information, besides motivating voters to go out and vote at the elections in October 2006, is strong message to citizens that politicians are not irreplaceable and that it is voters' obligation to hold elected officials responsible. The newsletter will also contain examples of ballot in order to prepare citizens for voting.

This innovative way of education of citizens through newsletter, as well as providing information about importance of participation in the election process, political parties and its platforms and candidates, will have influence on increasing voters' turnout and their interest for elections in B&H.

The special segment of the project will be distribution of newsletter through Youth Informative Agency. By this way the youth will be able to be directly informed about elections, to distribute information about elections and that will motivate their participation in political and public life.

Newsletter “Elections” will be funded thanks to grant which was awarded to AEOBIH by Centers of Civic Initiatives (CCI).
